Attack Mode

Cyclops is in attack mode today.Another X-Men pissed me off big-time such that when I initially went to lunch today,I was in major pissed-off mode and didn't really want to talk.Luckily,Dazzler came in her usual chirpy mode and started talking about movies and movie stars...one of my favourite topics and when my mood got much lighter...and then after a while and some emilas,it was like dark clouds all over again.I am feeling in a much better mood now and can joke about it with Colossus.But I was seriously just about an hour back or so...

The X-Men in question,who pissed me off big time,is none other than the loudmouth,Banshee.It started this morning when he sent an email to Rogue giving some weird assessment about some stupid stuff which occurred a million miles away in country X and said we should take note of this too.What the...First of all,let me say that the moment I saw the email,I thought:"Is this dumb or what?"Country X is a very different place from Singapore with a lot of internatl strife and turmoil going on.So the situation is different and one cannot simply say that:"Hey this is happening in X so it might happen here too!"Please,might as well tell me to write about Roswell and little green men right?Besides,Singapore has its own unqiue environment and we have to see how things interplay with things in place.

So anyway,the idiot sent the email to Rogue who being the intellectual giant that she is,thought he did a GOOD job and told me to include it in a report.She cc-ed the email to Jubilee,Colossus and Banshee.Include it?If I did,my reputation,or whatever I have left of it,will immediately turn into notoriety.Big time.Colossus and Jubilee came over and talked to me and they felt that Banshee was doing some major smoke-out and Rogue was probably getting high from the smoke.It was just rubbish anyway.I think he did it to boost his work stats or his visibility with Rogue or something,whatever it is.As if he need to.

So then I had to do some major kick-@rse research for the rebuttal and went about typing a point-by-point thesis against his hulaboola.That took me the whole damn morning when I should be doing other more productive stuff...like uncovering stuff for the major report which we are all doing.I'd have to leave that to tomorrow then.Hah.The deadline is actually tomorrow.

So after I finally typed out the whole thing and sent it out to everyone on the list with an Optic Blast.Banshee came fighting back with his Sonic Scream.He said that:"Ok,so it's good you are abreast of matters.I assume you checked with the C-branch?That'd be good."Hell.I thought the whole thing might be laid to rest but apparently,Banshee wants a fight.But I'm not ready for one.I am a pacifist.I am an X-Men.I make love,not war.

I did a check with Prof X and Dazzler on whether there was anything to take note of but no there isn't.Anyway,I heard from Dazzler that Banshee had wanted Dazzler to do a check for him this morning but as she had things to do,she told him to check himself.He,of course,didn't want to and just attacked without thorough research.Very nice of him.Very thoughtful I should say and very professional.

Anyway,Jubilee was quite disgusted with his behaviour while Colossus wanted to rebute him.For me,I just shot a tiny Blast back at Banshee,defending myself.For me,I think that's that lah.I was pissed off big-time,yeah but my tempers come down fairly fast because tempers increase my blood pressure and brings me closer to a casket so I try to cool myself ASAP.No need to fight any further.Let the whole matter rest.In fact,between the time I started writing this and the time I typed up till here,I have cooled myself down.Colossus had wanted to write an email to rebutt Banshee but I felt it was better not to.He felt Banshee should be made to realise we are no pushovers.I can't argue with that although I think Banshee will continue to do it regardless of what we do.Anyway,I just sent an email saying that I did my job.Ok.Thank you.Sayonara (in that irritating Stella Wong style...Sayooooooooooonala).

I am alright with people doing what they can to survive.But not at the expense of others.We don't live in a cave-man era where we have to fight each other to live.This is a civilised world.So live that way.I don't think people should play a modern version of cave-man in an office.But that's my view.Anyway,Jubilee felt his latter action of throwing a sucker punch at me was under the belt.Probably it was.It's in his character anyway.A leopard can't change its spots.

Jubilee says everyone has one's own way of making a living,in whatever way he chooses.So Banshee has his.Banshee can act bravado all he wants.I really don't care.I'd turn the other cheek.Actually when I see him nowadays,I already turn the other cheek...so he can face my buttcheeks.I am not personal friends with him...and I won't be.I wouldn't want to be.I had told Prof X once that if I had knew Banshee outside,I'd not want to talk to him or know him at all.I stand by my statement.

Don't even know if I included all events that occurred.Probably I did.Doesn't matter.Just another day in the life of an Office X-Men.
