Singaporean Men

I write this post with pain in my heart,yes,this is what eating too much fatty food and too little exercise does to you.Oh,you were thinking I feel pained to write a post lamenting the state of Singaporean men?Nah.I don't think we are a bad bunch really...ok,ok...let me speak before I interrupt myself again.

In reference to my Beach Life post,I was talking about seeing a large number of Asian girls paired with Caucasian men and I wondered what's wrong with Asian men.I will pare it down to just looking at a national level,specifically Singapore.And I won't restrict talking just about Caucasian men either, be it Caucasians,Arabians,Japanese,Korean,ABCs or Africans,I'd take them all on.Are we seeing more and more Singaporean girls attached/attracted to men of other nationalities?I think so.I don't know if we see it on the treets here but it's a feeling.Of course,this has to do with being a cosmopolitan society.But the way I see it,more and more Singaporean men are being left on the shelf(Girls,you are really martketable,I think there's no reason why you can't get married if you are actively looking for a bf/husband).So many of my guy friends are not attached,let alone married.In my eyes of course,they are quite eligible...so why ain't they attached?

What's wrong with Singaporean guys?Hmmm,according to Durex and some other weird sources,we don't do IT enough and we are not romantic.EXCUSE ME?We are Lions,men!Oh...come to think of it,the Lions get mauled by the Malaysians pretty often.I mean,what does one mean by not being romantic?Of course there's the oft-quoted comment about how S'porean men propose by talking about applying for flats.Hey,spare us,if we didn't,you girls will probably ask us about it anyway right.So we just bring it out straight.And what about this thing about making proposals with a ring in a Tiffany box syndrome?Why can't Lee Hwa do?Or for that matter,Heng Heng Jewellery?It's just downstairs after all.

And talking about IT,I don't trust Durex.Sure,maybe we don't do it enough but that's because Liverpool and Tottenham doesn't win enough.If they did,both sets of fans will be like frisky tigers every night of the week,except Saturdays.As for Man U fans,well,nobody likes them so they never get enough.Chelsea fans?Supporters of a football club with a girl's name.They are the pink dollar club,aren't they?Arsenal fans?Got such a thing in Singapore meh?Oh dear...I am talking about football when this should be about IT,that's the problem with S'porean men.But more importantly,don't trust Durex,S'porean men DON'T use Durex,that's why they give us a bad rating.What do we use?From a "reliable source",we don't use at all.Ask Banshee.The King of Sex should know.

Oh,and S'porean men are also preoccupied with making money and work,don't spent time with their wives and girlfriends.I don't know how true that is.My male friends(those who are attached)spend so much time with their girlfriends,they scream at the boys to leave them alone.Those not attached say they'd spend a lot of time with their girlfriends if they have one.So spending time doesn't seem like a problem there,is there?Or the guys I know are CIA-trained professional liars.

S'porean men are not understanding and sensitive.IS IT?I beg to differ.Of course there are pigs out there who wouldn't care about their girlfriends having a bad day,who don't call enough,who seem more interested in themselves.Hey,maybe I can't deny there are guys like that but hey,there are plenty of guys who are the antithesis of these bad eggs.Like me...choke,choke,excuse me while I choke on my pretzel.

Oh,one thing though,it seems like S'porean men are usually shy and reserved and unusually scared of rejection when facing girls...a bit boring.Yeh,I think that's the problem.I don't think that amounts to a lack of confidence...maybe it's just their nature,I don't know.Girls,maybe you could be the ones who open these guys up when engaging them.And then you might find that they're not such "bores" after all.Everybody has some interesting sides to them.Give us,S'porean men,a chance.LET US ENTERTAIN YOU!(Sorry,Robbie Williams,don't charge me for copyright infringement)
