Come Back Home Huang Na!

Unlike my other posts which go into grotesque lengths,this post will be relatively short and concise,in comparison.But that's because it's about a serious matter...here I go.

It's distressing when a kid goes missing and is not heard from or seen in days or weeks.It gets even more so when it's your kid we are talking about.But how many of us have ever had to suffer such anxiety,pain and heartache?Not many.So there won't be too many people who'd understand how Mdm Huang Shuying must feel now.I don't pretend to either.I can only sympathise and to say I can empathise as well will be a rather blatant lie.That wouldn't stop me from praying for her and her child who's gone missing since Oct 10 though.And I am praying for the two of them.If you have the time,set aside a little time for them as well.

Little Huang Na,a very cute little Chinese girl who's here to study,has been missing since Oct 10.It's Oct 22 today so it's been 12 days since anyone heard from her.Her story has apparently gripped the nation and these have been countless good Samaritans who have stepped forward to help her or another.There is a lot of good in Singapore,it's just funny that it always takes "big" unfortunate events like this to bring it out.If only we could show such kindness on a more consistent basis daily.This will be a much better place to live in.But that's not the main point here that I want to get across.It's more important we pray that Huang Na be found soon.

I understand from reports that a Malaysian man has been identified as one who can help in the investigations and to locate the child.Basically,I think that means he's a suspect(?)For whatever reasons or ways that he might be linked to the disppearance of the little girl,I hope that he be found soon to further the search.Has a picture of the guy been released?Maybe it should be to alert the public to the location of this guy.It'd certainly make the search a lot easier.

I am a bit fearful,to be honest.I read in the Straits Times,that the last time such a big case of missing child occurred was in 1986,when two kids,then 12-year-old schoolmates Keh Chin Ann and Toh Hong Huat,vanished. They were never found, and are now considered legally dead.Hunag Na has not been seen or heard from for 12 days now.For such a bright child,it's a very long time.And if everybody is aware of her disppearance,it is extremely strange that she has not been spotted as yet.I am not going to jump to speculations as to what has happened or is happening.I don't want to write them out because I don't want to believe what might happen.

So little Huang Na,please come home now.Wherever you are.Your mum has been crying and looking for you all over the place.She has been greatly distressed by your absence.How could she expect that after a short trip back home to China,she would suddenly lose you for the moment?It must be the worst nightmare of any mother come true.

And little Huang Na,a whole nation is urging and hoping for you to come home.So please do.And put your mum and our minds at ease.
